What look am I rockin'? Fresh Faced!

Normally I don't wear makeup at the weekends if I am not going out but today I wanted to play around with some new products I bought recently. They were the Anastasia Beverley Hills (ABH) Contour kit, dipbrow pomade, brow gel and the Tammana eyeshadow palette as well as my Ben NYE Banana powder and Urban Decay Basics Naked Palette.

I really like the look but I think I would play down the eyeliner if I was to wear this to work. I am not going to give a complete breakdown of the products but talk about the ones mentioned above. So I contoured with the ABH Contour Kit which I really like. There is a contour shade for every complexion and also a shimmery highlighter. It applies softly and evenly which is a bonus. However I chose to use the The balm Mary Lou-Manizer to highlight today and this product I adore. It is so soft and silky and applies like a dream, plus you can build it up.

Next up is the ABH Dipbrow Pomade and Tinted Brow Gel in Chocolate. At first I was a bit apprehensive to apply this as I didn't want my eyebrows to look unnatural but the key is in how much product you use and how you use your brush. I started feathered underneath my brow and then brushed upwards and then feathered above and filled in. Then to top it off and set it I lightly brushed on the tinted brow gel. So just so you know I just took off my makeup now and my brows have stayed intact with no smudging. Brownie points!

I also used the Tammana eyeshadow palette which has some really pretty eyeshadows. I used China Rose which reminded me of MAC's Paradisco but is more buttery in texture. Then I used the UD palette to add a dark brown colour to the crease and highlight. I also used the Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana, a powder used by Kim K's make up artist. I usually use the LM Secret Brightening Powder which I love as it is light and doesn't settle into any lines underneath my eyes. I used the Ben Nye today and it did brighten my eyes subtly but I wasn't like wowed or anything. I think it is a little overrated and also what might work for someone may not work for you.

Overall, I am impressed with how these products have performed and hope I use them on a regular basis now!

Love & Blessings,
Sara xx
