Sarii's Scarves...

Hello girlies,

I was going to do a beauty related post but I have just finished sorting out my scarves and thought it would be cool to do a post on how I store my scarves. I think I own quite a lot of scarves..so be prepared! :P

My mom purchased me this organiser from Ikea a few years ago. I think it is primarily for hanging up ties but I thought it would be a useful to hang up my scarves. It also makes it easier for me when I want to choose a scarf to match my outfit. I just knot the scarf on to a loop and let them hang from the back. I could honestly do with another one of these but I do not have the space. I did use to put them in colour/material order but I found that I became lazy when I hung them up at the end of the day so I just randomly hung them all up, but let my lighter, chiffon type scarves for use in the summer at the bottom.

Hope you enjoy...

Peace out,

A Random Ramble...

Well this week has been tiring with it being the first week back at work and adjusting back to routine. The first two days were good as we had training days, so I spent the two days sorting out all the junk in our stock cupboard and made sure more resources were put out for use in the classroom.  The children returned to school later on in the week and everything was hectic as soon as they came in, from ensuring certain things are in place to preparing materials for use. Tomorrow is when everything starts up properly, it's going to be crazy but enjoyable at the same time!

Oh yes I had a really good driving lesson on Wednesday. I love driving! It's not something I would have said three months ago, when I was really terrified of getting into the driver's seat but I just love it now. When the time comes I just hope I pass first time!

I also started back at my second job today - caring for an autistic girl. I got there bang on time only to be told that she wasn't ready so I had to stroll the streets central for a while!  I eventually took her out and we walked so much today. We were both tired by the end of the session but it was good to be back at work!

I had a really productive weekend.  On Saturday I did all my cooking, cleaning and laundry so that I could relax for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Yes, I cooked! I am so glad I did because the recipe turned out just great. I cooked a Kashmiri Fish Curry ( I know it does sound a bit :S) but it was delicious! I just need to get back into the habit of cooking more now because I really do miss it...

I was just thinking I can't believe how fast time flies at the weekend...well Saturday was pretty steady but Sunday's always whizz past and before you know it, it time to sleep!

In terms of beauty news...

I had been looking forward to the 'Mickey Contractor' collection (primarily because of the fluidlines) but then I was bit disappointed when I read other blogs regarding swatches (Ivy fluidline not as pigmented as expected). I also heard mixed statements as to whether it would be released or not as it is quite limited. Anyways I randomly checked MAC online one evening and was pleased to see the collection already up. I was a bit hesistant but finally gave in and decided to purchase only one item from the collection which was 'Siahi' fluidline and another brush MAC 219. I received them quite quickly and I love Siahi, it's an amazing deep bluey-teal colour, it actually reminds me of the blue in a peacock's feathers :)

Well that's all for now...

Have a lovely week and will blog soon :)

Peace out

My New Year Resolutions...

Hello girlies...well I had been thinking about my NY Resolutions earlier and I have finally come up with these...

Peace and Love girlies,

Best Products of 2010

So I got a bit bored and decided to have a think of my 'Top 10 Products of 2010'. I decided on 5 skincare products and 5 makeup products just to make it fair :)

(They are in no particular order)

Five of the Best Skincare Products

Vit E Skin Oil is an amazing product. I use it at night instead of a moisturiser and it leaves my skin feeling smooth whilst evening out my skintone.*

Neutrogena Deep Clean Makeup Remover removes all my makeup in a flash without irritating my skin and it feels super fresh too.*

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, at work I don't like to re-touch my makeup too much and this primer really helps keep my makeup looking fresh all day, every day.*

Soap and Glory Eye Brightening Serum, I use this every morning to brighten up my eye area and along with MAC Moisturecover Concealer they really do make my eyes look less tired.*

Papaya and Shea Lip Balm Stick, my friend's Saida and Jenny sent me this as part of a gift and I absolutely love it. I am not sure if I can get it here - I don't think so anyway. But it really has helped keep my lips soft and smooth during this harsh, cold weather (Thankyou girls!) *

Five of the Best Makeup Products*

MAC Blush: Margin. I can't believe I forgot I had this colour. I was matched with this blush when I was in Chicago and loved it. I rediscovered it a while ago and wear it pretty much every day. It really illuminated your face. I love it!*

Rimmel Lipstick: Nude Delight, a colour I always reach for in my bag. I've been keeping my makeup quite simple as of lately and a slick of this keeps my face really completes my neutral, dewy look.*

Sleek Palette: Sunset, a recent purchase that I wished I had owned earlier in the year. I love the neutral colours which I have been wearing quite often these days. They will also work well for a fresh-faced look for the new year*

No7 Dream Lash Mascara: Jet Black, I love this mascara! Everyone always thinks I have falsies on when I wear it, it's that good at volumizing and curling whilst it's pretty intense*

Shu Uemura Painting Liner: M Black is the blackest and smoothest liner I have ever owned. It glides on so well and the colour stays true all day*

Hope you enjoyed reading :)
