Half Term Holidays...

So I have finally got through my first half term as an NQT and boy has it been enjoyable but quite hectic too!

I apologise, as I did say I would try my best to update my blog when I can but I have been unbelievably busy and if I'm not working, I'm sleeping!

A few things have changed in my classroom, numerous displays near my heater kept falling down so in the end I removed them and just stuck up the main display. Honestly, it was so frustrating walking into my classroom everyday to see a display fall down and then I'd spend a good 10-15 minutes putting it back up. Anyway I have dealt with that minor issue!

Unfortunately one of plants died a few weeks ago, although I was told by my lovely cleaner who used to take care of it when she worked around my area that it could have been revived! Whoopsie - it had wilted so much I thought there was no way in bringing it back to life! I have a feeling another of my plants will have died over the holidays, so I think I'm just going to keep the dragon tree and maybe purchase two new ones for the new year!

On the whole, it is lovely having my own class and my class is now full to the brim. Yes, I have 30 children although 2-3 could potentially leave as they live quite away from the school.

Okay so enough of the school talk...

What else have I been upto? Well it was Eid last weekend so I went back home and spent it with my family which was nice. My sister and I are hooked on homeland at the moment so we watched all of Season 1 and then I caught up on Season 2. It is SO good. I can't wait for tomorrow...eek excited!

Oh yeah I had been wanting to dye my hair for a while...and so I took the plunge and dyed it like a deep dark violet using Schwarzkopf. But to be honest I didn't see much difference, it some mirrors it looked jet black and in others it looked like my normal red colour....

So...when I was home I was out with my mum and she bought me the new Garnier hair dye ' Olia' I had always loved Garnier 100% and was devasted when they got rid of the whole line a year or so ago now. Anyways 'Olia' caught my eye and I fell for the colour on the box aka 'Deep Violet'. When I buy a dye, I like to see whether it is vibrant and long lasting...as I tend to dye my hair every 3 months. I also prefer a dye to be mess free and that means it doesnt dye your scalp and ears the colour you choose even when I have used all the concoctions to prevent this so!!

Anyways enought rambling...I dyed my hair and was really pleased with the outcome. I may dye it again if I need to before the Xmas holidays...It looks dark but it's more of a mysterious violet colour. I love it!! I have put a photo below for you to see. Excuse the mess of my room. It was taken when I was about to go for shisha :)

I have also changed my makeup as of lately which I am liking...I've gone back to black eye makeup. However I did experiment with metallic blue today (but forgot to take pics) and I loved it . I will list the products used for the photo's below.

In terms of hair, with the first photo I used mousse and curling spray and scrunched my hair to  tousle it loosely.

The second and third photo's are where I blowdryed my hair using a ceramic hot curling brush. My hair was so smooth after styling it. I used a centre parting when I went out this time but I usually alternate between centre and side.

Hope you enjoyed reading my update :)

Lots of love, Sarii xx
